After learning about stereotypes in their Spanish class, Gideon Welles 5th grade students were inspired to write a song about choosing love over hate. They choreographed a dance to accompany the song. which Spanish teacher, Dr. Conlon recorded.
The Glastonbury High School CLNH Ambassadors strengthen community connections through their work on the VOICES committee. Their new initiative, I AM GHS, conducts weekly school wide polls to engage students, develop a sense of community and inclusivity, and promote the values of CLNH. School wide visual displays report the results.
CLNH Ambassadors from Nayaug Elementary School started a Newsletter to promote the CLNH initiative. It includes their meeting schedule, upcoming events and activities, and ways families can participate.
Recently they started a Problem Solving Box for 2nd grade students. This is a fun and interactive way for students to expresses challenges they're facing.
