Meet the Coaches

Varsity

Head Coach: Christopher Vozzolo

Coach Vozzolo enters his third year as head coach of the storied program.  He had served as the assistant coach for the past 12 seasons helping lead the Tomahawks to five Class LL State Championships and many conference championships.  Coach Vozzolo has worked in all facets of developing players  within the GHS program including technical and tactical trainings, match management, and strength & speed development.  A former player who attended Avon High School and Keene State College, Coach Vozzolo started coaching at Premier Soccer School under Mitch Anderson and Rick Kozack over 20 years ago.  Coach Vozzolo joined the staff at his alma mater Avon High School prior to landing at GHS.  During his current tenure, Coach Vozzolo has worked directly with the Hartwell Soccer Club, Futsal SC, and others.  He has conducted  many  large clinics/camps and semi-private instructional clinics.  Coach Vozzolo is a Health & Physical Education teacher at GHS.  Coach Vozzolo also serves as Head Girls Basketball Coach at Glastonbury High School.  Coach Vozzolo is an active  member and license holder with the United Soccer Coaches Association and Connecticut Soccer Coaches Association.

Varsity Assistant Coach: K.C. Warren

This will be Coach Warren's tenth season with the team. He also served as an assistant in 1999 before returning to the sidelines nine years ago. As a goalkeeper at GHS, K.C. made the All-State team in 1991. He played for Syracuse University in 1992.  Coach Warren specializes in player/character development, college placement, and all aspects of day to day operations.  He also spends substantial time individually training our goalkeeping unit.  Coach Warren is a Firefighter for the Milford Fire Department.

Varsity Assistant Coach: Freddy Escudero

Coach Escudero has been with the Glastonbury Soccer for over eleven  seasons.  Coach Escudero works within all facets of our program including having a concentrated interest in team fitness and 1 v 1 development.  He also is an assistant coach for the GHS Wrestling and GHS Girls Tennis Teams. 

Varsity Assistant Coach: Spencer Butter

Coach Butter comes to Glastonbury High School from Brattleboro, Vermont. Coach Butter attended and played soccer at Castleton University graduating in 2020. During the 2020 fall season, he coached for Avon High School before arriving at Glastonbury High School. This will be his third season with the program, 2nd season as JV head coach.  Coach Butter is a teacher  at Manchester High School.
