"Kia ora Gladstone whānau. The Gladstone teachers have all come together to compile a huge range of learning resources for the period when New Zealand children are doing online learning. Years 4-6 students will receive their work via the site 'Google Classroom' and it's associated video chat function, 'Google Meet', issued by their classroom teacher to work on at home from their device. Years 0-3 students will have access to the junior online learning site, 1-2 activities from which will be "promoted" by the classroom teacher each day via Zoom. Keep a learning log of the activities you complete and you will have some great learning to share with your class when you return to school! Your learning log could be just like your writing book at school, or it could be a scrapbook, a clear file book or an online folder. Whatever you choose! All that matters is that it is your unique record of learning. If you put a date on your work, you can watch your learning change over time. Good luck with your online learning journey! Ka kite ano. He waka eke noa - we're all in this together. Have fun learning and stay safe!"
