Answers to Frequently Asked Questions
Money is never an issue for students who want to participate. We have an inventory of instruments, music, and uniforms available for students to use.
No prior experience is necessary. Most students are completely new to playing instrumental music.
Most band students are involved in sports, clubs, activities, and a wide range of other classes outside of band. They will almost never conflict with each other.
Students will have the choice to go on trips to neighboring schools, colleges, Seattle, and Disneyland throughout their time in band.
Band students will meet once a day as part of their regular schedule for the entire year.
Students will begin on trumpet, trombone, clarinet, flute, or percussion unless they have prior experience on another instrument. Saxophone and other "specialty" instruments can be applied for in December.
This is an opportunity for your student to develop musical, academic, and life skills that will last them well beyond their years playing music.
