What is Google Classroom?: Google Classroom is a free web service, developed by Google for schools, that aims to simplify creating, distributing, and grading assignments in a paperless way. The primary purpose of Google Classroom is to streamline the process of sharing assignments between teachers and students.
We will start our virtual learning through google classroom on Monday, May 4, 2020. Your child can enter google classroom through the district teacher website pages. The classroom is divided into four-week sessions. Each week, students will be assigned to a few learning activities in the areas of reading, writing, phonics, and math.
Students who do not have access to the internet or have a device to access google classroom will receive an assignment packet.
The grading will be simple. Students who complete the majority of the activities will pass. Students who do not complete the majority of the activities will fail. There are a total of four parent surveys in the form of a google quiz. Please complete and submit the assigned survey at the end of each week so your child will earn credit for the weekly assignments.
How do you navigate through google classroom? The menu across the top will include the following links: Stream, Classwork, and People.
