Intro to Automotive (Course 1) (9th and 10th grades only)
Course primarily intended as a personal automobile technician course, but also designed for students exploring future careers in automotive technologies. Introduction to Automobiles courses offers an introduction to the various mechanical systems in automobiles and basic experience in maintenance tasks. The Course may also cover career opportunities in the auto and/or transportation field.
Auto Tech 2 (Course 2)
This is a second sequential course in an automotive program of study meant to take a student into higher-level knowledge and skill development.
The prerequisite for this course is Automotive Technology
Transportation Tech Industry Internship (Course 3) (Only students that completed first 2 courses in sequence.)
Auto Tech 3 (Course 4) (Seniors only that completed the first 3 courses in sequence.)
This is a third sequential course in an automotive program of study meant to take a student into higher-level knowledge and skill development.
The prerequisite for this course is Auto Tech 2
Students will receive Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification in one or more areas upon successful completion of ASE exam. Exam will be held at GHS once a year.
