HOPIN BASICS

Please see below for Hopin basics (with screenshots) where you will get a better understanding of how to use the platform the day-of.

Hopin is our virtual venue for the Hiring Summit. It is made up of four sections on the left-hand sidebar and you can navigate between these sections at any time.


  • Reception - This is where you can access the full schedule.

  • Stage - Announcements & Keynotes will take place here. Keynote and Panel

  • Sessions - Our Community Lounge (for job seekers only) will take place here.

  • Expo - This is where you and other partnering organizations will host your virtual Booth!

Sidebar for Chat and People

The right-hand side includes a collapsible sidebar to access the Chat, and People features. Use the Chat feature to connect with job seekers or announce what’s coming up at your virtual Booth. Use the People feature to connect 1:1 through direct messaging or invite them for a video call.

Tips for Connecting with Booth Attendees

  • Greet attendees as they hop into your Booth & introduce yourself & your team. Direct their attention to what you would like them to do.

  • Direct job seekers to the right people attending from your organization

    • i.e. “Current college students should chat with Susan, and recent grads should reach out to Kara”

  • Use the People feature to invite individuals to chat one-on-one. You can keep multiple direct messages going at once, and if you’re talking to someone promising, invite them to a video call.
