The Differentiated Literacy Instruction (DLI) program at Girls Inc. of Greater Miami is a targeted educational initiative designed to address the individual literacy needs of our K-5 participants. Rooted in evidence-based practices, DLI focuses on providing personalized reading instruction that adapts to the varying skill levels and learning styles of each girl in our program.

Through DLI, certified reading teachers like you deliver tailored lessons that emphasize key literacy components such as phonemic awareness, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension. By assessing each student’s current reading level and progress, you can offer instruction that is both challenging and supportive, ensuring that every girl has the opportunity to improve her literacy skills.

Our commitment to DLI is part of our broader partnership with The Children’s Trust, which funds this initiative as part of our effort to close the literacy gap and promote academic excellence among our participants.
