With a number of fundraising initiatives anticipated in the lead-up to Fonomarae 2028, it is important that funding applications are coordinated to avoid multiple applications being submitted to the same funders.
All local and national funding applications must be notified to the GB Support Centre before an application is submitted.
Please provide the following details:
Name of the funding organisation
Purpose of the funding request
Proposed application and decision dates
Amount of funding being requested
This will help us coordinate funding applications across Girls' Brigade New Zealand, avoid duplication, and maximise our opportunities for securing funding to support attendance at Fonomarae 2028.
Please contact the Elizabeth at the GB Support Centre before proceeding with any funding application. elizabethd@girlsbrigade.org.nz
It's a classic.
Buy a box of 30, sell each bar for $2.50. Make a profit of $25.50 per box. Here's one site to get you started: ChocFun
Raise money towards your registration fee and get a shirt to wear to camp! There's space for a small logo on the front - so this could double as your Area shirt!!
Your area or group creates a campaign. Each girl can then create a profile where their whānau and family can donate online. Names of supporters are printed on the back of the shirts. Spot #1 is $1, Spot #2 is $2, Spot #3 is $3 and so on. 30 supporters will raise $370!
Get in touch with your local Bunnings to book in a date for a sausage sizzle (long weekends are always popular if you can get one!)
A great way for the girls to actively get involved in their fundraising while being visible in the community.
Book your GB venue for a Saturday evening. Charge an entry fee per team, and host a quiz!
Extra ideas:
Ask local businesses for sponsorship or donations to use as spot prizes or raffles
Teams can 'buy' one answer per round for $5
