- The book chosen by each guest will be announced before the start of the month
- Copies of the book will be made available in the library, but of course, each student is free (and encouraged!) to purchase their own copy
- The report has to be submitted before the 27th of each month. To be clear, earlier is fine - later is not!
- Format for the report? None! Write a simple essay, that's it.
- I'll be selecting the best five reports, which will be handed over to the guest, who in turn picks their favorite one - and that's the winner!
- The carrot: a chance to speak with the featured guest of the month over a cup of coffee.
- With one tweak: if you've won an interaction with a guest in one month, you can't win an interaction for the rest of the year. That way, different students get to interact with guests on a one-on-one basis over the year.
- But you're still in the running for the annual prize! That includes, besides the all too valuable bragging rights, and your name on the honor board, a year long Kindle Unlimited subscription, along with a Kindle Paperwhite.***
- Now, the stick: Across the year, you can miss submitting reports not more than three times. Fail to turn it in, and your progress to the next academic year is blocked (yes, seriously).
- Plagiarism will be checked for, and reports that are plagiarized are disqualified (yes, seriously)

*** In each month, first place gets 50 points, second place gets 40 points, third place gets 30 points, fourth place gets 20 points, and (surprise, surprise) fifth place gets 10. Everybody else gets zero. The student with the highest score by the end of the academic year is the winner.
