Ashish Chandra is an avid reader. He has many other feathers in his cap, including being an Agile coach (about which more shortly) as well as stints with Infosys and Fidelity Investment Services, but he is, above all, an avid reader.
Ashish's book choice for the month of October 2019 is Elephants Can't Dance, by Louis Gerstner. I'm sure Ashish has his reasons behind his choice, and we'll be sure to speak to him about it, but for all of you, it is a book worth reading because it provides one with a very non-textbook-y way of thinking about business, particularly crisis management.
Book submissions due (I'll be updating the Google Classroom page next week) by the 8th of November - it is Diwali month, after all!
Now, about the Agile coaching bit - this also means that he is exceptionally good at communicating, so if you get the chance to catch up with him, be sure to ask for at least a couple of tips in this regard!
Amit Paranjape is, in his own words, a technology entrepreneur based in Pune. He is co-founder at Reliscore, a startup focused on technical skills assessment.
He is also, and more importantly, single-handedly responsible for at least a couple of servers at Twitter crashing on virtually a daily basis. That is not hyperbole: follow him on Twitter for a virtually non-stop barrage of endlessly interesting links, comments and insights.
Amit has very kindly agreed to kickstart proceedings for OBAM 2019, and he's chosen to lead with Homo Sapiens, by Yuval Noah Harari. Book submissions due by the 27th of September, 2019.
I'll put up the date on which Amit will visit GIPE to speak about the book by the middle of the month.
All the best, and happy reading!
