Greetings from the Library! Make us the hub for your school life! I am Katrina (Trina) Rother and the library has been my second home since kindergarten when I offered to help the librarian put books back on the shelves (thank you Mrs. Thewke!!) :-) I grew up in rural Nebraska showing animals, playing sports, and reading. Education and reading have always been a big part of my life. I knew I wanted a profession where I could share my love of books. I did my undergrad work at UNL and graduated with a B.S. in English and Reading (7-12), then attended UNK for my M.A. (K-12 reading) and endorsements (K-12 media with emphasis in technology).
My husband and I have been married 30+ years and have two children Kallie, her husband Tim and Mitch and his wife Becky. Both kids are adults, but we have lots (and I mean lots) of nieces and nephews (and great-nieces/nephews and great-great nieces/nephews) to follow around :-). Our family added a new favorite - a granddaughter born October of 2024. We spend a ton of time outdoors ~ farming, golfing, hunting, fishing etc. :-). If you take an online CCC course, you might just meet my dad, Mr. Jacobsen, since he still subs a bit for me!
Our family has a history at K-State/UNK that spans several generations
