Valuables
Please do not bring expensive items or large sums of money to school. During PE items such as watches, earrings, wallets etc should be put in a named envelope and handed into the PE valuables box and collected at the end of the lesson. iPods and personal entertainment equipment must never be brought to school under any circumstances. Mobile phones should not be used for making and receiving calls between 8.45 and 15.30. When a parent needs to contact their child, please always phone the school office on 01491 574315 or your child's housebase
Role of Student Services
Student Services provides a central point for all student needs, for example collections of uniform, return of all permission slips and payments, purchase of basic stationary, purchase or revision guides, phone calls home in an emergency and copies of timetables. Student Services can also provide 'loan' learning files and small items of uniform for those students who have arrived incorrectly dressed.
Confiscated items/breaks
Non-uniform items are confiscated. Jewellery will be confiscated if not part of the uniform, and returned under normal confiscation rules. Confiscated items are kept in Student Services for one week before being returned to students. Please contact Reception prior to your arrival to arrange collection. All students must stay on the school premises during morning break and lunch.
Motorbike/Scooter permits
Students wanting to ride motorbikes or scooter will need to apply to the school for a permit. Motorbikes/scooters will not be permitted onto the school site without the completion and submission of the permit application and provision of a valid MOT certificate, insurance certificate and driving licence. Permits will be issued on receipt of the correct documentation and after a behaviour review has been completed for the student. Permits will also only be issued if students are unable to walk to school or use public transport. Motorbikes and scooters should be safely pushed through areas where there are other students walking. Permits can be withdrawn at any point in time if there are concerns. Vehicles are the sole responsibility of the owner.
