I will be scheduling video meetings with students using WebEx software. There will be different meeting times for different classes. The meeting invitations will be posted through Google Calendar and sent to student email addresses. To receive the invitation emails, students must add each Google Classroom to their Google Calendar and configure Google Calendar to send the notifications.
• Login to the Google Classroom for your band class.
• Select Classwork from the top menu.
• Select Google Calendar on the Classwork page.
• If you are asked if you want to Add this calendar, select Yes.
• Google Calendar will open in a new tab.
• Click on the Settings Gear towards the top right of your Google Calendar page.
• Select Settings from the submenu that appears.
• Scroll to Settings for my calendars on the left side of the Settings page.
• Locate and click on YOUR band class.
• Select Event notifications from the submenu that appears below your band class.
• Click on + Add notification under Event notifications in the middle of the screen.
• Set the notification number to 15 minutes.
• DO NOT CHANGE the All-day event notifications.
• Under Other notifications set New events to Email.
• Set Changed events to Email.
• Set Canceled events to Email.
• Leave the rest as None.
• Close the calendar tab.
