Since 2023, GPS Tech Services has been organizing GPS Girls STEMpowered as an opportunity for the young women in our district to get hands on, real world experience in STEM.
Our goal is to bring together the female computer scientists in GPS to participate in project based engineering and computer science learning.
Statistically, women are underrepresented in computer science and engineering fields. Research has shown that some of the reasons are lack of exposure and lack of interest. This experience will tackle both in an engaging, creative, exciting format.
