Hello everyone! I’m excited to kick off a fun school year with all of you. I graduated from the University of Northern Iowa—go Panthers!—and this will be my third year teaching. My wife also teaches; she’s a third-grade teacher at the intermediate school here in Gilbert.
When I’m not teaching science, you can usually find me coaching wrestling in the winter or track in the spring. Outside of school, I enjoy working out, cheering on the Chicago Cubs and Bears, and spending time with friends and family.
I’m really looking forward to getting to know all of you and making this a great year together!
Why I Teach:
To build a culture where people feel safe and proud of who they are. Where everyone has a purpose and feels valued. Where people can grow into the person they aspire to be.
This year we will engage in the following concepts:
Energy (Kinetic, potential, transfer, transformation)
Electromagnetic Forces
Space (Solar system, eclipses, moon phases, gravity)
DNA, Genetics, and Mutations
Animal Behaviors + Plant Structures
Ecology + Photosynthesis + Cellular Respiration
