Hello!
The beginning of the school year is an exciting start that I look forward to each fall. Although I love summer, I thrive off of routine and love being back in the classroom with students. Please continue reading to learn a little bit about me!
I hope you all had a great summer- mine was spent with my daughter, Parker, who was born last November! We went on a lot of walks with our dog, Greta, and spent a lot of time outside. My husband and I traveled to Glacier National Park in Montana and also made our way up to Banff, Canada. It was BEAUTIFUL. We have loved living here and can’t wait for Parker to join the Gilbert School District.
After graduating from Wartburg College in 2015, I was an 8th grade ELA teacher for seven years while spending my last year in Clear Lake as an instructional coach. During my time in Clear Lake, I earned my master’s degree from Northwest Missouri State in Educational Leadership.
As a teacher, the opportunity I have to help build confidence in young readers and writers is wonderful. To find a passion in reading and writing, allows students to be lifelong learners. I strive to be the best version of myself in all aspects of my life and love guiding students to do the same. This is my third year at GMS, and I look forward to another awesome year.
