Year at a glance..

In 3rd grade, students read and write with a new emphasis on non-fiction texts. They often must refer back to stories and give evidence found there, and they build a strong vocabulary to help read and explain challenging texts. Their writing also focuses on organizing information and ideas while they support them with facts and reasons.
