1) READING TIME (5 min)
Initial reading time for Paper 2 (where it is recommended that students concentrate on familiarising themselves with the listening comprehension questions).
2) LISTENING COMPREHENSION (SL 45 min/HL 60 min)
The following format is followed and repeated for EACH TEXT (A/B/C):
4 minutes of reading time at before the TEXT is read out for the first time
TEXT is read for the first time
2 minutes pause to write responses to questions)
TEXT is read for the second time
2 minutes and 30 seconds pause to write responses to questions
NOTE: Students will be alerted by a voice on the audio when the time periods change.
This process will be repeated for each audio text (A, B and C).
After text C is played for the final time, the remaining time can be used to finalise all answers.
Paper 2: Listening assesses the degree to which students understand the three audio texts provided.Â
Students will be required to respond to various questions type that demonstrate their comprehension of the questions and texts.
