HOMELESS ASSISTANCE ACT

Are you homeless and/or temporarily displaced?

The McKinney-Vento Homeless Education Assistance Improvement Act of 2001 is a federal law requiring that all children and youth experiencing homelessness have access to a free and appropriate public education. Schools must provide children and youth experiencing homelessness with access to the education and services they need to ensure them an opportunity to meet the same challenging standards as other students. The McKinney-Vento liaison for Giddings ISD is Brandy Zingelmann, LMSW.

If you feel that you may qualify for the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act, please fill out the form below. Upon submission, it will deliver directly to Brandy's email.  After review, you will be contacted to confirm and/or discuss details regarding the McKinney-Vento program.
