CAM members of The Cougar Den presented at the 2022 Future Ready Iowa Summit. Many gathered to learn as the students shared about their journey that started as a small business and has now grown into a fully remodeled storefront in downtown Anita with CAM products designed and create exclusively by students.

Students at Griswold High School researched the history behind the Green Hills AEA building that is located between Council Bluffs and Treynor. It was previously a Nike missile site and the students unearthed information, oral histories and images to help tell the story. Read more here.

The CAM Small Business class presented Mrs. Kathy Ehrman, CAM high school librarian and grandmother to Steele McLaren, a check for $3,000 this morning. This money came from the sale of the #32Strong and #StrongAsSteele decals the class sold after Steele's accident last October. Thank you to Atlantic Hy-Vee for selling them for us at their Customer Service Counter as well. This money can be used by the family for anything they need in the coming months.

From the instructional coach: "Just wanted to share with you a very special moment this morning. I just returned from Mr. Kunze's room where Tessa, Shelby, and I shared the drone video and the interior video of the Hitchcock House. Mr. Kunze was literally moved to tears of joy. He stressed to the girls how important it is to preserve this historical information, especially since so many of the board members are elderly. He was emotional because he said a couple members have passed away this winter, and he stressed they would have loved viewing the project because it is something they have talked about for years. He wants to take a flash drive with the video to a meeting this weekend at the Western Trails Museum in CB and show it to the regional director of the National Park Service. He was very passionate about how incredible their work was, and he hopes the class will continue to help with projects.
