Creston ECC received a STEM BEST award in 2021-2022. This classroom is a great example of what authentic learning could look like in an early childhood setting. This STEM classroom is a room that any student at the ECC can access with their teachers at any time. The group did a great job of including activities and resources for everything from science and engineering to dramatic play and musical instruments and everything in between. Having a space like this makes it easy for ECC teachers to intertwine STEM throughout their day and their different areas of study. Along with local business partnerships and presentations from places like KSIB Radio and Green Valley state park, this learning environment encourages students to consider many different career paths.
