Day 1 Rules
- Come to class prepared.
Charge your Chromebook the night before.
Complete unfinished classwork from that day and/or reading homework if there was any.
Bring your Chromebook and its charger, reading material, writing utensils, and lined paper to every class meeting.
Get a good night's rest!
2. Be in your assigned seat when the bell rings.
At the time that the bell rings, you must be sitting at your desk. Otherwise, you will be marked tardy.
Put away your phone and earbuds until further notice.
3. Avoid using the bathroom during the first and last 10 minutes of the period.
Let me know at an appropriate time during instruction that you need to go.
Sign in/out at the kiosk every time you leave the classroom.
Carry the hall pass with you and hang it back on the door.
4. Use technology appropriately.
Please remove your earbuds/headphones upon entering our classroom, and put your phone on silent and out of sight to prevent any distractions. You must learn to regulate your own phone usage.
When it is appropriate, I will explicitly signal that it is an acceptable time to use your phone.
Please ask if you need to use a wall outlet.
5. Maintain a clean classroom environment.
Throw away trash in the trash can.
Empty recyclables before you put them in the bin.
Wipe your desk as needed.
Pick up trash off the floor when you see it.
6. Submit assignments on time.
If you are absent, you are responsible for checking Google Classroom for what you missed and completing it ASAP.
If you submit work late, you must fill out a missing assignment form.
7. Use proper capitalization, punctuation, and spelling on all assignments.
Please remember that you are writing for school, to your teacher.
Capitalize the beginning of each sentence and "I."
Use a period or other appropriate punctuation at the end of each sentence.
Use the standard spelling of words.
