The reveal is the few minutes everybody remembers and every photographer is waiting for. In a convention hall you have the height and floor area to make it dramatic, but you also have a large room to fill with energy. Plan it like a short piece of theatre.
Hide the product properly: a drape, a lift, a screen that splits or a darkened plinth. Test the mechanism repeatedly.
Use a countdown or short film: a strong opening video tells guests something is about to happen.
Bring the lights down: a dark room followed by a single spotlight focuses every eye on the stage.
Cue the sound: a music sting or rising soundtrack marks the exact second of the reveal.
Keep the stage simple. One senior voice to frame the product, one product expert to explain what is new, and perhaps a partner or ambassador. Each extra speaker dilutes the moment. Rehearse handovers so the reveal does not stall while someone looks for a clicker.
Much of the audience for a launch is online. Position the product so it reads clearly on a phone screen, plan a clean backdrop behind it, and give photographers a defined spot with an unobstructed line. Lighting should flatter the product rather than wash it out.
The seconds after the reveal are often wasted. Script what happens next: applause cue, a close-up on screens, then an invitation to see the product up close. Momentum carries guests from the stage straight to the demo area.
