Math

Lesson 9-11

Open your big book to page 351 Order of Operations. Follow along and read about using parentheses in an equation. Work the problems at the bottom of the page and ask an adult if you are doing it correctly before moving on to page 352. While doing page 352, you will see why the order is important. Complete pages 352-353. I know some of the problems are more difficult so do the best that you can. On page 354 you can see different ways to multiply larger numbers. Study them and decide if one of these methods work for you. Otherwise you can use the method I showed you in class...multiplying the ones and then multiplying the tens. I'm sure your parents use this method.

Homework. Page 243-244 in the homework book. Put in red homework folder. We will have another pick up/drop off day on April 9th.

Language Arts

Handwriting practice pages 90-91 M N U

Get out your reading packet for Energy Island. On page 153 you will be finding the plural form of the of the singular noun in the parentheses.

Review your Energy Island story by glancing back through the pages in your big book. Page 155-156 are questions about the story. Complete the page and save it in your red folder.

Read for 20-30 minutes.
