Bulloch County’s Military Heritage involves an oral history project to collect local stories. This page features glimpses into interviews from Bulloch County Veterans that have never been displayed before. A Bulloch County Veteran is a serviceman or woman who was born in Bulloch, lived in the county for a significant amount of time, or calls Bulloch County home.
Oral history collects and studies historical information through audio, video, or transcript conversations and interviews. The interviews cover information about a veteran's experience in the military and warfare, their connection to Bulloch County, and more. It offers insight into the details of history that may not have been known otherwise.
These stories are compilations of oral histories from members of the community that give insight into various American wars and the American military experience. Several of these presentations are also included in the exhibit, Community and Conflict, and are from Vietnam War Veterans. Explore the profiles on Bulloch County veterans. If you would like to see the full interviews, and other non-digitized veteran interviews, contact the Georgia Southern University Museum to research today.
