1. University-Specific Scholarships (Many Linked Here)
After submitting your application to a university and receiving your university ID and password, be sure to complete the university's scholarship application. In many cases, you can apply for these scholarships before you have been officially accepted.
Where: Look for this information on the Universities Website (i.e. Texas State + Scholarships)
2. National Scholarships
Create a free account with a national scholarship search engine such as BigFuture, Fastweb, or Red Kite. Once your profile is complete, you can receive notifications about scholarships that match your qualifications and interests.
Where: Create an Account on one of the sites. They often have the same awards, so I would just choose one.
Tip: Focus your time on scholarships that offer multiple awards. For example, a scholarship that awards 10 or more students may give you better odds of being selected than one that awards only a single student.
3. Local Scholarships (Linked Here)
Local scholarships are often an excellent opportunity because they typically have a smaller applicant pool. Many local scholarships don't become available until the spring of senior year.
Local scholarship opportunities are posted on the EVHS College & Career Site under “Scholarships” and are updated weekly. Check the site regularly so you don't miss new opportunities or application deadlines.
