GISD CREST Award Recipients
CREST stands for Counselors Reinforcing Excellence for Students in Texas. This award is presented to schools counseling programs that meet the requirements of alignment to the Texas Model for Comprehensive School Counseling Programs.

In Georgetown ISD, the Counseling Services department is in the 5-year process of implementing school counseling programs across the district that are aligned with the Texas Model as outlined in Texas Education Code, TEC Sec 33.006.

We are incredibly proud of the work, passion, and dedication of all GISD school counseling programs.
In the 2024-2025 school year, we hope to add two additional campuses to the list of CREST award recipients.
In the 2024-2025 school year, seven GISD school counseling programs were recognized as CREST award recipients:

Additionally, Tippit Middle School’s School Counseling Program was recognized with the CREST Leadership Award, distinguishing their programming as an exemplar in the school counseling field.
