ATTENTION Parents:
Recent legislation (SB 12) requires school districts to inform parents of their district’s mental-health related services. Additionally, parents must be given the opportunity to provide their consent for specific mental-health related services.
As a result, we ask that you please take a moment and review our GISD mental-health related services in Skyward and indicate your preference for consent when asked. Directions to help you locate this notice and indicate your consent preference are provided: Skyward Access Instructions. We thank you in advance for your cooperation.
This is my 4th year at Purl and my 6th year in GISD. I’ve been in education for 18 years and love being part of the Purl family! I grew up in The Woodlands, TX, earned my undergraduate degree in Special Education from Texas A&M University, and my master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Texas State University.
My husband, Ryan, and I moved to Georgetown in 2019 with our four children—Cameron (10th), Blair (8th), Adelynn (4th), and Cason (1st)—all proud GISD students.
At Purl, I enjoy working with students through individual, group, and classroom counseling. I help students build skills in areas such as social skills, self-esteem, managing emotions, and overcoming challenges.
I look forward to a wonderful year ahead and am always here to support our students and families!
