Data for Subject Areas

The pivot table below shows the number of items found in each Library of Congress class and subclass. The data from this table was used to create charts 5.1-5.2.

The chart below shows the number of records in LC Class BX associated with individual Christian denominations. The data in this chart is represented in Chart 5.2.1.

The pivot table below shows the number of records containing subject headings for parts of the Bible. The data in this table is represented in Chart 5.2.2.

The table below shows the number of records in LC Classes BT and BV associated with individual theological topics. The data from this table is represented in Chart 5.2.3.

The table below shows the geographic subject areas represented in this collection grouped by region as determined by the team for the purposes of this analysis as well as the countries/states/provinces within those grouped regions and the number of records in each place. The data in this table was used to create charts 5.3 and 5.4.

The following table shows the number of records in the collection that are about specific people, usually biographies, memoirs, or commentaries on that person’s works. The data in this table was used to create chart 5.5.

The following table shows the number of records for each subject by region of publication. The data in this table was used to create chart 6.1.

The following table shows the number of records for each broader and narrower subject term by country of publication. The data in this table was used to create chart 6.2.
