Probiotics are defined as live microorganisms that are thought to provide a health benefit to the person eating them. Probiotics are natural, "friendly" bacteria found in yogurts and other cultured foods.
BB-12 - What is it?
BB-12 is a probiotic naturally found in the gastrointestinal tract. It has been shown to have a positive impact on the immune system and to help intestinal function.
What is the microbiome?
The microbiome refers to the collection of all microorganisms and bacteria that live within the human body. Our microbiome plays an important role in digestion and modulating the immune system. In general, there are as many bacterial cells living within the human body as there are human cells!
Our Yogurt
Our yogurt beverage, fortified with BB-12, is produced by the Berkey Creamery at Pennsylvania State University. The creamery at Penn State has produced yogurt and other dairy products for over 150 years.
