The Georgetown Graduate Consulting Club (GGCC) is a graduate student organization welcoming graduate students and post-docs across disciplines at Georgetown University. GGCC brings Hoyas together to learn more about the consulting industry through career development and networking.

When beginning to conduct informational interviews, start with second-year, full-time MBA students who interned with the firm or students who have work experience at the firm, then first/second-year associates, then managers/senior managers, and finally partners and managing directors. You will gradually build firm and industry knowledge and will be positioned to make the strongest impression on senior decision makers at the firm.
The Georgetown Consulting Club (GCC) has an annual Case Interview Bootcamp which kicks off the club’s case interview training program which lasts the entire fall semester and culminates with the top 40 students having an opportunity to interview on-campus with Marc Cosentino for “Case Interview Certification.” The Case Interview Certification interviews are usually scheduled from Thursday – Sunday the week after Thanksgiving.
The GCC maintains a case book and has subscriptions to commercial websites as one of the club’s membership benefits.
Attend David Ohrvall’s Crack the Case workshop and Marc Cosentino’s case interview workshop during the fall semester. Register for these workshops is through MCV with David Ohrvall usually coming to campus in early October, and Marc Cosentino coming for his workshop in late October.
Career Days are informational, “day-in-the-life” events with a specific industry or functional focus, including Marketing, Healthcare, Finance, Consulting, Entrepreneurship, Operations, and Energy. Students who participate in Career Days have the chance to discover new career paths and opportunities in their area of interest. Organized by the Student Organizations with oversight from the MBA Career Center’s Career Advisors, Career Days are normally scheduled on Fridays during the fall semester. Alumni and recruiters participate through panels, keynotes, roundtable discussions, and networking receptions.
Student site visits to employer workplaces offer a unique supplement to the traditional on-campus information session, allowing the student to directly experience an employer’s workplace culture and interface with key executives. Treks have brought groups of 10 to 100 students to employer destinations including New York, London, San Francisco, Tokyo, Boston, Hong Kong, Washington, D.C., and more. Treks allow students to position themselves as a select group of focused MBAs who have a demonstrated interested in the employer’s organization.
Treks are offered in a variety of locations throughout the year, allowing you to take advantage of multiple opportunities and experience a variety of business locales.
The Consulting Trek takes place during Career Week in October and is geared towards first-year students who are interested in learning about consulting. Employer locations are focused in Washington, D.C. and New York. Past participating employers include Deloitte, PwC, EY, KPMG, IBM, Kaiser Associates, MorganFranklin and others.
