Hello! I’m originally from Chile and moved to Washington, D.C., in 2023 to pursue a Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics at Georgetown University. Before beginning my doctoral studies, I spent ten years teaching English as a Foreign Language (EFL) in Chile and abroad. Drawing on my classroom experience, my research focuses on language assessment literacy and classroom-based assessment within English language teaching. More broadly, my academic interests include instructed second language acquisition, language teacher education, and task-based language teaching and learning.
