We are excited to announce the George Fox University Rocket Team has applied and been accepted to the International Rocket Engineering Competition (IREC), hosted by the Experimental Sounding Rocket Association (ESRA)! This competition has been famous for being the world's largest rocket competition for colleges, and we are excited to represent Christ and GFU on a world stage. It is expected to be announced by the end of this month where the competition will be held, and at that point our team plans to begin making travel and lodging preparations.
Fundraising Update
Wow, I can't believe we have already made it! Today is the last day of our crowdfunding campaign, and we have been so blessed by all of our donors who support our team to raise a total of $7,120 through 38 donations! Even though this campaign is over, our general donation page is always available and you can donate here if you wish to help us get closer to our $35,000 goal. We are halfway to being fully funded, but still need a little extra support to reach our goal. Some of the ways we have been able to use funds so far this year include:
New Member High Power Rocketry Certification Kits
Main & Backup Flight Computers
GPS Tracker
Test & Competition Motors and Motor Hardware
Ground Station Antenna
