Mission: The GFU Rocket Team’s purpose is to give students of all educational levels and backgrounds the opportunity to learn how to design, build, and launch rockets and explore what the aerospace industry has to offer. 

Faith: We believe there is one God who eter­nal­ly exists in three per­sons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spir­it. We believe that Jesus Christ, the sec­ond per­son of the Holy Trin­i­ty, was born of a vir­gin, lived a sin­less life, died a sac­ri­fi­cial death for the sins of the world, rose bod­i­ly from the dead, ascend­ed into Heav­en, and is com­ing again to judge the liv­ing and the dead and to estab­lish God’s king­dom of right­eous­ness and peace on Earth. 

Integration: Just like rockets need to have all of their pieces integrated to function properly, so too does our mission and faith need to be integrated. Sure, we could build a rocket that works phenomenally in the here and now, but if we don't honor God with our time and works, our efforts are useless eternally. Ephesians 2:8-10 (NIV) says "8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast. 10 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."
