A 2017 American period crime drama film directed by Kathryn Bigelow and written by Mark Boal. Based on the Algiers Motel incident during Detroit's 1967 12th Street Riot, the film's release commemorated the 50th anniversary of the event.

Fiddler on the Roof

Himalaya (Caravan)

The Himalaya, Caravan 1999 movie is based on the Himalayas in Nepal. In the remote mountainous region of Dolpa, far to the west of Nepal, at an altitude of five thousand meters. Himalaya is the story of villagers who carry a caravan of yaks across the mountains bringing rock, salt down to the lowlands from the high plateau to trade in grain. The caravan provides the grain that the villagers rely on to survive the winter, an annual occurrence. The film is a tale of rivalry focused on conflict and misunderstanding.

White Sun, (Seto Surya)

The film name "Seto Surya (White Sun)" refers to one of the elements of the National Flag of Nepal. In the film, an Anti-regime partisan Chandra confronts physical, social, and political obstacles for his father's funeral. His search for a solution takes him to neighbor mountain villages and encounters with the police and rebel guerrillas. A portrait of post-civil war Nepal during the fragile peace process.

The Cup

The film takes place at a Tibetan monastery in exile in India, which from time to time receives Tibetan children whose parents have smuggled them past the border guards so that they can be raised in the ancient Buddhist teachings. And so they are, in a monastery which seems a little like any boarding school for irrepressible kids. However, the atmosphere of serenity is disrupted by soccer fever. Prevented by various circumstances from seeing the Cup finals on television in a nearby village, a monk sets out to organize the rental of a TV set for the monastery. The enterprise becomes a test of solidarity, resourcefulness, and friendship for the students, while the Lama, head of the monastery, contemplates the challenges of teaching the word of Buddha in a rapidly changing world.

Seeking mainstream stardom, Selena begins recording an English-language album which, tragically, she would never complete.

Bajo la Misma Luna

Single mother Rosario (Kate del Castillo) leaves her young son Carlitos (Adrian Alonso) in the care of his grandmother and illegally crosses the border into the U.S. Though she hopes to eventually make a better life for herself and her son, she toils in a dead-end job as a cleaning lady in Los Angeles. When Carlitos' grandmother passes away some years later, the boy begins a difficult and dangerous journey to join her.

Rocky Horror Picture Show

A 1975 musical comedy horror film by 20th Century Fox, produced by Lou Adler and Michael White and directed by Jim Sharman. The story centres on a young engaged couple whose car breaks down in the rain near a castle where they seek a telephone to call for help. The castle or country home is occupied by strangers in elaborate costumes celebrating an annual convention.

Paris is Burning

A 1990 American documentary film directed by Jennie Livingston. Filmed in the mid-to-late 1980s, it chronicles the ball culture of New York City and the African-American, Latino, gay, and transgender communities involved in it.

Big Eden

is a 2000 romantic comedy-drama film written and directed by Thomas Bezucha. Arye Gross stars as Henry Hart, a successful gay artist from New York City who returns to his rural hometown in Montana to care for his ailing grandfather. Henry is welcomed back by the townsfolk, all of whom are aware of his sexuality and are highly accepting and even supportive towards him (the film's plot and dialogue is notably devoid of homophobic content).

Race

Ranvir (Saif Ali Khan) is a successful horse breeder with a history of training and showing winning race horses in South Africa. Rajiv (Akshaye Khanna), Ranvir's brother, is also in the racing world, but he is less cutthroat in his job and, as a result, has not produced the same number of winning ponies. However, Rajiv shows his prickly side when he steals Ranvir's girlfriend, Sonia (Bipasha Basu), and hatches a nefarious plot to take over his sibling's thriving business as well.
