Dear Parents,

I hope that you are well. Ramadan Kareem to you all!

On the subject of Ramadan, I would like to thank Ms. Nomah and Ms. Rasha, our Heads of Islamic, along with their teams and all others who have contributed to making this special for all in our community. I am looking forward to the community Iftar on the 25th April (details have been sent by our Parent Relations Executive).

I also have a special message from Ms. Noma, ‘Ramadan is the month of sharing. GIS is pleased to announce a Ramadan food drive where our students and staff can contribute a meal to a labor camp, through the Dar Al Birr society in Dubai. Each meal would cost AED 10 only and students are welcome to donate as much as they wish by 22 April, to their Homeroom teacher. A few of our students will then go in person to hand the money to Dar Al Birr inshAllah.’

It has been a delight to see your children again and GIS is already buzzing with activity, including huge interest from prospective parents, so I would urge you to re-enrol and secure your child’s place, if you have not already done so!

Please note that squads and teacher led ECAs will discontinue during the month of Ramadan. Externally run ECAs will continue throughout the month of Ramadan and can be registered for through the ESM.ae website.
