Week Eleven - November 19th 2020
Congratulations to our 2 Grade 4 students, who both finished within the top 3 in their age category in the DASSA 1km virtual race. Over 750 students entered the virtual competition, so this is an amazing achievement! Both students have been invited to a special training session with Olympian Charlie Grice. Here is Zakaria and Alisa being presented with their DASSA certificate.
Grade 2 Remote Learners learning about chemical changes on Zoom was REALLY fun! They even conducted their own experiments at home while their classmates on campus did the same experiment.
KG2 Remote Learners practiced speaking confidently and describing objects to others. They discussed how to be good listeners and ask questions to show interest and learn more.
Grade 3 Remote Learners connected with their on campus peers to read a mystery short story during a read-aloud. They collaborated using Padlet to visualize main characters and share their thinking.
GIS students in PYP and MYP are invited to join the Voices Around The World project choir. An international virtual choir, where students come together to make an international music video – this consists of thousands of voice recordings, videos and pictures that students can send off to be used.
Please click below for more information on how to take part. Song submission is until the end of November
