Celebrations
Seventeen talented students participated in our annual GIS Poetry Recitation Competition, which serves as the first round of the Emirates Festival of Literature Schools Competition. During break time, our four judges enjoyed a wonderful showcase of expressive and confident performances. They commended all participants for their courage and willingness to take risks as effective communicators.
All participants will receive a certificate and House points. We are proud to share the competition results; please see the attached poster for details!
Congratulations to all students who took part in this exciting challenge, and special congratulations to our winners!
Important Reminder
Our principal and CEO, Ms. Nevita Pandya, shared an important message with you last Friday regarding our upcoming behaviour reset. Link here.
We kindly ask you to read her message carefully and take a few minutes to discuss it with your children before they return to school on Monday.
It has come to our attention that some primary students have been bringing mobile phones to school. We would appreciate your support in reminding your child to leave their phone at home, if they have one.
Recent research has shown that frequent mobile phone use among children can affect concentration, sleep, and emotional well-being. It can also increase anxiety, reduce face-to-face interactions, and limit opportunities for creative play and critical thinking. Therefore , we would appreciate your support in reminding your child to leave their phone at home, if they have one.
If a mobile phone is required for essential safety or family reasons, we ask that students keep it turned off and stored safely in their bag throughout the school day.
Your cooperation in reinforcing these expectations at home is greatly appreciated.
We are finalising the last details and are planning to launch the before-school care program during the week of November 3rd, 2025. More information on The after-school care program will follow after.
Thank you for your continued support and engagement in our school community.
We wish you a wonderful and restful break and we are looking forward to welcoming you back on Monday October 20, 2025.
Warmest regards,
Mirna Hafez-Farah

Parents have all received a notification to sign up for the Toddle platform. This is an exciting enhancement to our parent communication, and this year you will receive weekly updates through the Toddle platform.
This IB affiliated platform will offer opportunities for parents to remain up to date with their child's academic progress.
The below class pages will host resources for parents and will no longer have weekly messages. All information will be sent through Toddle, so please inform your class teacher if you have any trouble registering.
