Week Thirty Five - June 26th, 2025
Dear Primary Families,
As we approach the final days of the school year, we are filled with pride and gratitude for all that our students, staff, and families have achieved together. This week has been a beautiful balance of reflection and excitement as we celebrate the many moments of growth from this academic year while also looking forward to what’s ahead.
One highlight of the week was our Step Up Day, where students had the opportunity to visit the grade level they will be entering in the new academic year. It was a wonderful experience that gave them a chance to explore new classrooms, meet some of the teachers they may learn with, and get a feel for the routines and expectations of the next grade. There was lots of excitement, a few nerves, and many curious questions—exactly what we love to see as learners take brave steps forward!
As we head into the final week of school, please note the following important reminders:
Friday, June 27th (tomorrow) has been confirmed as Islamic New Year and school will be closed for the public holiday.
Wednesday, July 2 is the last day of school for students.
Homeroom classes will celebrate with end-of-year class parties on this day.
Parents are encouraged to coordinate with one another to send balanced treats for the children to enjoy.
These celebrations are for students only. If the teacher requires support, one class representative—typically the class parent—may stop by to assist or to present a class gift, if one has been organized.
Thursday, July 3 is an optional Parent-Teacher Conference (PTC) day.
If you would like to meet with your child’s homeroom teacher for a brief 10-minute conversation, please contact to them directly to schedule a time.
Semester 2 Reports will be shared with families next week. These will provide a final reflection on your child’s progress and achievements this year.
We are so proud of everything our students have accomplished and are deeply thankful for the support and partnership of our parent community. Let’s make the final week of school a joyful and memorable one!
Warm regards,
Sarah McLean
Head of Primary
A reminder that the last day for students is Wednesday, July 2nd. We will also offer optional Parent-Teacher Conferences on Thursday, July 3rd, for families who would like to connect with their child’s teacher to reflect on the year and discuss any final updates.
Thank you for your continued partnership, positivity, and support. It’s been a fantastic year, and we look forward to finishing strong together!
Warm regards,
Sarah McLean
