Week Thirty Three - June 7th, 2024
Grade 7
The grade 7 drama classes are well into their final rehearsals as they prepare for their performance of “Scenes from a Quarantine” next week. Students have organized their props, set, costumes and backgrounds with their scene buddies and they have memorized some very lengthy scenes by heart! Well done grade 7, it's been a pleasure to witness your growth this term.

Grade 6
Students in Grade 6 in Music have been busy working on creating a graphic score and their own piece of music. Students had to create a piece of music that reflected their chosen story and think about how the different musical elements could be used to create a piece of music that helps to non-verbally tell the story they chose. They had so much fun creating their pieces and the level of creativity was fantastic.
Grade 9
The Grade 9 students are working on their final projects of the year: dystopian circus. In this project, the students will use all practical skills that they've been taught throughout the grade 9 near and apply it to a final installation for the MYP arts exhibition. This week the student sculptors are sculpting their circus figures and our architects are creating architectural models of famous buildings that will act as the circus performers’ setting. Not only are they applying skill development and creating for assessment, they are also working on the ATL social skill by effectively collaborating with their team. Looking forward to seeing all their hard work come together!
