Week Thirty Two - May 31st, 2024
Grade 8
In our Grade 8 MYP science class, students engaged in a hands-on investigation to explore various methods for cleaning up an oil spill efficiently. They designed and executed experiments using materials like absorbent pads, dispersants, and biological agents to simulate oil spill scenarios. By measuring the time taken for each method to clear the oil, students critically analyzed effectiveness and environmental impact. This immersive project not only enhanced their understanding of environmental science but also fostered problem-solving skills and teamwork.
