Week Twenty-Nine - April 28th, 2023
It’s back to work for all our students this week after a wonderful Eid Al Fitr and we are focused now on ensuring that our students continue to make progress and achieve their goals. Mr Manny has led PD sessions for teaching assistants to support student literacy development. In Grade 5, Ms Lily has started the transition support programme for students who will continue to MYP next year so that they feel comfortable, confident and prepared for the changes to come.
Inclusion is an important aspect of 'safeguarding' within schools. This week Ms. Hannah Kelly (Head of Inclusion/ Designated Safeguarding Lead) presented a Connect-Ed session to parents highlighting the school's policies and practices relating to safeguarding. This included the national Child Protection Law, Wadeema's Law, and an overview of why school staff are all trained to identify and report possible signs of abuse.
