Week Twenty Seven - April 26th, 2024
Dear Parents & Guardians
It was so lovely to welcome everyone back onto campus this week to resume normal school operations. We are so grateful to our support staff who ensured that the classrooms were ready for our return. Lessons resumed and students transitioned back into the classroom so very smoothly.
I had the pleasure this week to participate in the Grade 7 assembly and to acknowledge the hard work of Islamic students. Thank you to Ms Marie-Claire and Ms Nomah for organizing these events. Seeing our students comfortably present in front of their cohort, or being acknowledged for their effort, shines a light on the accepting community of students that we have. I am so pleased to be a part of such events across the school and can’t wait to be involved in some more as the term continues.
I mentioned last week that our Grade 12 students commenced their exams this week. While there were some students initially nervous as they arrived at school, there were some very happy students once the first paper was complete. Feedback so far is that students are relieved that the exams have started, and that they were very well prepared. We continue to think of our older students and wish them well each day.
I wish you all a wonderful weekend ahead.
Kind regards
Amanda Murphy
