Week Twenty Six - April 19th, 2024
Dear Parents & Guardians
What a week it has been! I do hope that you and your loved ones remain safe and dry.
Under, what can only be described as very trying circumstances, I would like to congratulate our students for the way they stepped into online learning. I am hearing from teachers that attendance has been very good, and students are engaged in their lessons. I also want to acknowledge the work of our teachers; many lost power or internet service, some had flooding, but still managed the best they could to ensure that students were learning. Thank you everyone!
It is a week such as this, when plans go awry, that our school really shines. Seeing the significant effort of our security, support and cleaning staff, to ensure our school is protected, repaired and mopped up, highlights the dedicated community we are. I am so proud of being a part of such a caring and giving family!
Looking to the future, I would like to wish our Grade 12 students the best of luck for their upcoming DP exams which commence on Wednesday. Our oldest students have been preparing for these assessments for many years now, and we know that they are equipped and ready to share their knowledge and understanding with the IB assessors. Good luck Class of 2024! We look forward to celebrating further with you next month.
Finally, I am aware that some members of our community have experienced very trying situations this week. Please do not hesitate to reach out should you require any assistance or have any questions. We will hopefully all be back on campus next week. Until then, take care.
Kind regards
Amanda Murphy
