Inclusion

It has been great to see the students back in school this week following the break. Our students continue to showcase their talents and challenge their barriers. We have seen students successfully competing in Lego and Qu'ran recitation competitions, and being active participants in school community events.  Meanwhile, our Student Inclusion Committee are busy planning and preparing for this years International Neurodiveristy Awareness Week, on March 18th to 22nd. There will be more information to follow.

Our LSA team have focused their professional development this week on deescalation strategies to help support our students with emotional regulation. A big thank you to Jordan Noel (Secondary IST) for delivering this session.

Next week, the ELL Coordinators (Emma Johnson & Mariam Mesak) will be delivering a Connect-Ed focusing on unpacking the ELL Student Support Plans. We hope to see our ELL parent community in attendance.
