Head of Secondary School's Message 

Dear Parents & Guardians,

This week, our school was aglow with the vibrant spirit of Diwali, the Festival of Lights! Our celebrations brought together students, staff, and families in a joyful display of cultural heritage, unity, and light. The front of the school transformed into a colorful hub of rangoli designs, traditional attire and festive décor. Adding to the excitement, traditional drummers brought a rhythmic energy to the event. Thank you to everyone who helped make this celebration so memorable. 

Ms Burcu also held a ConnectEd session for parents entitled Understanding DP Assessment this week. Assessment in the DP is different to that in the MYP, so this was a very informative session which outlines the key points and variations between assessment in the two programmes, highlighting the internal and external assessments in the DP. Should you have missed the session, the presentation will be available shortly in the ConnectEd tab.

I would like to give a shout out this week to Munir, Daniel, Denny, David, Miroslav, Ananya and Kadeejath, our senior band, FUSION. The group have been practicing hard in recent weeks in preparation for their performance at the Desert Rock competition this weekend. The group did an amazing job performing for the Grade 10 students at their assembly on Thursday. And if this is anything to go by, the judges are in for a treat! Thank you also to Ms Verity who has dedicated so much time and energy into this group. Good luck FUSION!
