It's very different and unique than other classes. It's a whole new world where you learn new languages and try to put the puzzle together to make the product function properly. The program has made me better a better problem solver and pay attention to the tiny details. The satisfaction of having a well functioning and running code is incredible.

The Absegami CS Magnet Program helped me focus in on the area I want to pursue when I grow up, which has given me an advantage now in college knowing exactly what I want to do. It's also broadened my knowledge of the field, giving me a taste of coding, cyber security, network architecture and more. I'm currently at Stockton pursuing a Bachelors in Computer Science with plans to get my masters at Drexel university when I graduate.

I chose to take the CS magnet program because of the many job opportunities that can come out of it, and my interest in computer science and STEM. The program also has a very "hands on" approach which I really enjoy. It balances learning and coding projects very well, which allows me to have fun with the class.
- J. Mullin Class of 2023

As a freshman at Princeton University studying Molecular Biology and Bio Engineering, the Computer Science Magnet program has already been a big help to me. In my CS class we are studying Java, which I learned in the third year course at Absegami. Already having been exposed to many languages and computer science principles in general has been a big help to me.

-S. Mullin Class of 2020

I chose to take CS because I have always loved the concept of programming, and I wanted to learn more about how to program and how computers work. I like the program because I have learned so much about how the computer actually reads the code that it is given, as well as where the code goes and is stored. I also have learned how to program in several block-based languages, as well as a couple of text based languages a little bit. This program really embraces creativity, and it is amazing to see your code come to life on the computer screen. The climate and other people in the program are all very supporting, and when you are having trouble with something they are more than willing to help. Overall, this program is an amazing opportunity to learn skills that in an age of ever-evolving technology, will most likely come in handy in the future.
- H. Duntley, Class of 2023

Even though I did not study Computer Science in college, being a part of the CS magnet program has been a tremendous help to me. I learned how to think outside of the box and how to work through difficult problems using the resources around me. It was helpful to me to learn how computers and the internet work to be informed about the world around me.
