To earn a B.C. Certificate of Graduation (Dogwood Diploma), students must complete at least 80 credits in Grades 10–12.
80 credits total
52 required credits, including:
Career-Life Education and Career-Life Connections
Physical and Health Education 10
Science 10 + a Science 11 or 12
Social Studies 10 + a Social Studies 11 or 12
Mathematics 10 + a Mathematics 11 or 12
Language Arts 10, 11 and 12
Arts Education or ADST
4 credits of Indigenous-focused coursework
28 elective credits minimum
16 credits at the Grade 12 level, including:
Language Arts 12
Career-Life Connections
The 4-credit Indigenous-focused requirement can, depending on the course, also satisfy another graduation requirement such as Language Arts, Social Studies or an elective. Government of British Columbia
