WANT TO HELP LEAD GRAD 2027?

Grad Council is open to any Grade 12 student, and we are now accepting self-nominations for the Grad Council Executive.

The elected positions are:

Chair • Co-Chair • Secretary • 2 Members-at-Large

You may nominate yourself for one position only.

To be eligible to run, you must have attended the October 13 Grad Council meeting.

Your nomination will include a short 50–75 word statement explaining why you want the position, what you would bring to Grad Council, and one thing you would like to help accomplish this year.

Nominations close: Friday, October 16

Only students who attended the October 13 Grad Council meeting will vote in the executive election. Election information will be posted after nominations close.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

Choosing a theme is only the beginning.

Once the Grad 2027 theme is selected, we will send it to Sonic Bark, our grad wear designer, to begin developing clothing concepts based on the direction chosen by students.

Grad Council will help narrow the designs, and then the entire Grade 12 class will vote on the final Grad 2027 clothing design.

Grad Council will also begin working on:

Grade 12 activities and experiences
Traditions and legacy ideas
Grad wear
Student communication
Grad song later in the year
Fundraising and event ideas
Student input for Safe Grad

Major decisions will continue to come back to the graduating class for input and voting.

WANT TO BE INVOLVED?

Grad Council will normally meet once a month at lunch, with smaller project groups meeting when needed.

You do not need to hold an executive position to participate.
